The lion exhibition was up for five days – from Wednesday 19 November to Sunday 23 November – at the Fátima Cultural Center.
We noticed that for most of the people of Tampiquito it was the first time they entered such a space dedicated to culture. This was also the case for other participants of San Pedro. What we offered for sale were painted lions, blank lions as well as very small lions. All of them had a letter in their mouth containing a brief explanation of what had just happened. We were very pleased with the diverse audience we had. It helped us understand the different ways the lion concept is actually being understood. Most of the attendees just said “How nice..!!”. In time, we are expecting more participation. And more people who would like to be part of the fair. The event was complete when a kid from Tampiquito, Fabian, said “I never thought that my lion will be in a museum”.
Here is a collection of pics from the event by La Pola.
